Membership
Eligibility of Membership
All who work in soft pastel, not oil pastel, are eligible for membership with the Alabama Pastel Society.
Annual dues of $30.00 are due every January. Dues must be paid every January to be listed as an active APS member.
Membership categories and dues include Active member $30.00, Patron $50.00, Benefactor $100.00.
To obtain APS Signature membership, APS Signature Members are allowed to use APS following their signature, example (Name, APS), after earning a total of 3 points. The point system is a 1/2 point when juried into a members' show and 1 point when juried into a national show. Winning a placement award at an exhibition earns 1 point. 3 aditional points, a toal of 6 points, are needed to aquire Member of Excellence status. Example (Name, APS-ME). This also allows members to use the APS initials for life as long as their yearly dues are paid.
